I think knowing the past, both the good and the bad, is valuable. So I'd say that the movies are not the best depiction but it shows how we thought at that time.

No. That would be censorship. Even though the way Native Americans are portrayed in old movies is historically inaccurate, movies are artistic expression....which is protected by the Constitution.

We need to preserve this stuff... I mean it's not like we go around trying to destroy religious artwork because it "imposes" beliefs, right? Some of the greatest works of literature and film deal with racism and similar things... you just can't eradicate it all because in this day and age it's politically incorrect.

Not necessarily. Many Native Americans were in those movies despite how they were portrayed.
