my gyno just put me on Yaz for birth control and PMDD. Has anyone taken this and know how effective it is for

I have never done Yaz before but I have done its sister product Yasmin for a different medical problem and had a hard time adjusting to it during the first couple weeks. After I settled in I then ran in to a different problems 6 months later and had to switch brands.
