That is less than $1,000 per month so most full time jobs would be that much assuming you have no other expenses and have time to work full time. If not you will need more skills or harder work.
Look at your skills to find what is most valuable to others. A roofer could make that in a few weeks or a painter painting a few houses.

Spread the word. Tell everyone you know that you're raising money, and if they need any odd jobs done or hear of any work, to let you know. Print up flyers and/or biz cards that says you'll do odd jobs. Lawn care, babysitting, house cleaning, pet sitting/walking/washing, help put in a fence or assemble a trampoline (I wouldve paid for an extra pair of hands when putting mine together!) Grocery shopping for people. Really, anything. But def. spread the word, try to get a decent paying part time job, and do odd jobs before or after work. Offer to put up Christmas lights for people, or take them down. The holidays are coming. Cash in! Sell your stuff on Craigslist or Ebay or a garage sale. Recycle cans. And save. A little here and there everyday for 8 months can add up quick!

One way is to find a part time job, and work nights and or weekends. Don't know if this will be feasible for you, since you don't mention your circumstance, e.g. full time student, already work full time, skills etc. Whatever you choose, you just have to make sure you will earn enough, after taxes.
Or you can provide services; it doesn't have to be a job. But income from services is not as predictable as from a job.

Or you can supplement a little by holding a garage sale or list some stuff to sell on Craigslist.
