It was actually the second big bowling tournament of the 20th century. The German Team had lost the first tournament but figured they had come up with a new strategy. Hitler tried for a strike but got only half the pins. The rest of his balls went in the gutter and he shot himself.
Japan stepped up and scored Zero when they were hit with a large bowling bowl dropped from above.....two in fact.

The WWI Armistice broke the German economy, and they the Depression made it worse. People in Germany were in despair, and along comes this charismatic, highly organized, proud guy (who also happened to be a nut job). His stated goal was to bring Germany back to its' rightful greatness. As for Japan, they wanted resources (oil) and didn't want the U.S. to be the dominant Pacific power, so they joined up wit Germany and the rest is history. It was definately not a media creation (well except Hitler made very good use of media to gain support).

WWI started because too many inbred royal families had to iron out their problems with their armies. The world was armed for it, it just needed an excuse. WWII stareted because WWI settled nothing. The war betwqeen America and Japan was due to militirism and racism in the Far East. US Imperialists tried to strangle Japan thru trade and Japan resented it.

Mostly because of a bitter resentment caused by WW1. Another main cause was German imperialism, though Japanese imperialism brought us into the war.

Since you don't want facts, I won't waste my time. But I know how it all started, I was around in the 1930's and 40's.

Hitler wasn't happy with his playground, so he decided he wanted it all. He didn't play well with others, and never learned to share.
