I always liked that song! Buddie has a good answer. Also I think it means what we can grasp of the world and it's wonders in the course of our life time would only fill a paper cup. It is just too vast and whatever you have of the world at the moment do it, appreciate it......because it will soon be gone and so will you.

Never heard of that its always the weight of the world on your shoulders. The paper cup is fragile...maybe it's pertaining to that. But then I havent heard the song you heard it from.

um, it sounds like it means that your world could fall apart at any given moment. but, that's just a thought. i'm not sure.
