I think it's a genetic thing because my Mom, grandma and many of my relatives are loners...Is it a genetic thing since I am a loner???

Are you sure that it's genetic? Being a loner can also be learned. You learn to socialize (or not) from your family.
It's my findings that most loners are unhappy, don't trust and are actually lonely. If you're not happy...try to break the cycle of your family and work on socializing a bit. You don't have to become an extrovert, but try to make a few friends and think about what a loner would do and try doing the opposite.

A while ago i thought it would be better, for me to be a loner and for a while, (a short while) i was pretty happy. But pretty soon loneliness does kick in and after a while (now) im trying real hard to rebuild what i had with all my friends and family that i slowly pushed away over the years, lol i regret it big time and i dont think anyone can ever be happy as a loner.

hmmm. see, when the word loner comes to mind, it might mean that that person does not have any friends because people choose not to be with them.
however, in your case, i think you and your family value the time you have for each of yourselves. this doesn't mean that you do not have any friends. it's just part of the personality that you think you probably get things done better if you're alone for example. perhaps being an introvert is part of that, if you're one at all. personality is inherited, so yes, i too as well think it's genetic.
