They won't win 70 games but I really think they have a great chance to be a contender. They were one of the best teams in the west until people started getting hurt early last season.
Andrew Bynum is coming into his third season so he hopefully will make a leap in development. If, and I agree that's a big if, Bynum does become a lot better then the sky's the limit. I think they should at least try this lineup:
C - Bynum
PF - Brown
SF - Odom
SG - Bryant
PG - Fisher
Then you have Walton, Cook, Mimh, and Farmar to come off the bench. It could be a beast of a lineup. Big if though.

Hold on here Big guy Lakers won't win 70 games.Are you smoking they will win a good 60 or 50 but not 70 and they won't make the finals.They will be lucky to make it past the first round they better not get the suns we know how that goes.And the lakers can't touch Boston no way.

No way do they win 70. They will sweep no one. They need more help around Kobe. Kobe is great (can't stand the guy but he can ball) but he needs a point gaurd for starters...then a center.

well, when u look at the roster, u got bynum, brown, and odom, these three combine are biggest front court in the nba, if the very stupid phil jackson notices it. odom is very good, bynum and brown is the guy u wanna teach, get them more mature in the game, u see washington made him better(even though it's slow process), but they trade them away, now he's back to where he's drafted. bynum, that could be the future, he good, jus get his mindstraight(not sometime confident or not), lakers gonna be fantastic in nba.

They won't even make the playoffs this year. They'll miss the playoffs by a game and lose the last game of the year by a point when Kobe bricks a jump shot on the last play.
