I'm wanting to begin making my own earrings, and I know wal-mart used to sell flat earring posts, but now all I can find is hook posts. I've tried eBay and searching online craft stores, but to no avail. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Check any craft store in the jewelry parts.

Because jewelry makings are not big ticket items, you may not find them over the internet. However, I have never failed to find them when I walk in the door. I suggest calling local craft stores to see if they have any in stock to save on traveling around.

Bead stores are another source for jewelry makings. Give them a call if there is one close to home.

I buy my flat earring posts from Rio Grande (riogrande.com). They have base metal, sterling, gold-filled, etc. in many size pads. They are very good to deal with, and have lots of other findings.
