My mental health Doctor mentally degraded me in front of another person is this reason to sue or not and if so what kind of a lawsuit is it considered?

If what he said had a basis in fact, you may not have any case. There's no law about not hurting someone's feelings.

I mean he could tell someone you are overly sensitive to criticism, and you may feel degraded, but based on your question above, each of us would be honorbound to stand up and agree with him.

If you are considering making a complaint, you had best make certain the person who heard it, will give statement to what was heard. Instead of a lawsuit, you might consider a report to your state medical board. People today are so sue happy, ask yourself did the comment really warrant a lawsuit?I hope you will take the time to evaluate what was said and ask yourself if it did you any permanent harm or did it actually make you take a good look at yourself and reevaluate personally. There may be other options for this situation. Good luck to you.

Talk to a medical malpractice plaintiff's attorney. As an attorney myself, I can say here that you are not providing enough information about the incident and also that, depending on the facts, you could possibly have a case.
