Will there been any action taken from the court against me for failing to show up?

you will lose the case. a warrant for your arrest for failure to appear will be issued as well. since you opened it though you should follow through with it. the courts may punish you further for wasting their time and tax dollars

Yes. A subpoena is pretty much an order for you to appear, and in some instances, bring with you certain documents relating to the case. A subpoena must be obeyed under penalty of law...If you fail to appear, you will be held in Contempt of Court.

If you ignore an official subpoena there will be a warrant issued for your arrest...... You don't watch court shows, do you?
