We are voting on officers and have been informed 2 week ahead of time on what date we were voting. However, one member was not able to attend rehearsal last Thursday.
Therefore they were unable to cast a ballot for officers. The question was raised to the committee members. Should this member have the opportunity to vote?"

I would say it depends on his/her reason for missing. If it were medical in nature...probably.
If they just placed something in their calender as more important...no.

Indeed, if your group has rules for the election of officers, that should be covered. That said, if you don't have any rules concerning it, the vote is over and they missed it. Boo hoo. Life ain't fair.

I have NEVER heard of an election where anyone gets to vote after the fact.

You didn't mention who your group is, but if the group has By-Laws in place, that situation will be addressed there.

If there are no By-Laws, vote on the decision.
