An extraordinary event has just occured -- a father won a child-custody battle against the mother!

Also, the unfit-mother Ms. Spears has to pay child support and is already paying Mr. Federline alimony. Nice to see the roles reversed.

Another victory for Men's Rights! Another defeat for feminism and misandry!

What is your opinion of the father winning custody from an unfit mother?

RoVale -- she's Britney Spears. Of course he'd dump his girlfriend for her. Imagine, a famous singer all over you. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance. If Brad Pitt or Derek Jeter or whomever asked you out, you'd dump your boyfriend too.

If you

I can't believe how many feminists are saying that this has "nothing to do with feminism".

The judicial system's routine bias against men is directly related to feminism.

child custody is heinously sexist. their kids are cute, i'm surprised the government didn't take them from them both & place them in a two parent household rather than with their father. not saying that they *should* have, but that's what i've seen happen more than not with my friends. (single mother with joint custody gets kids taken away, father fights for them for years, parental rights get terminated by the court, kids get adopted by a married couple that has a dog.)

I couldn't picture it happening to a nicer....
oh nevermind, I really don't care.

Okay okay, I'll give a real answer. No kid should have to grow up being able to Google his mom's name and get public shots of her junk.

So that isn't a real answer, either, but it's Brittany Spears, there isn't much reality there, anyway.

Ever see the picture from the Mickey Mouse Club with her, Christina Agulera, Justin T, and a few others in the same group? These people have been in fantasy land since day one.

Well at least the system worked for once. She wasn't a fit mother, too many problems. Hopefully she can get her life back together and maybe regain some benefits, maybe not full custody but perhaps shared custody. Equal contribution from both parents is the best for children, but one stable parent is better than nothing.

My opinion of a father receiving custody from an unfit mother? I'm glad.

BTW, I think that joint custody should be the default, unless one of the parents is deemed unfit.

Ouch, help me I'm dying now, lol.
Honestly, it's great. Britney was an unfit mother and Kevin obviously cares about the kids. So the decision was a good one.

Actually, my father won custody of me to when my parent's divorced. I was in favor of that verdict, as I am in favor of this. There's no need to be hostile towards feminists over this. Someone else already pointed this out today and most people, feminist or not, male or female, seem happy with the verdict.

This has nothing to do with feminism. You seem to be clinging to an "us against them" mentality, and I wish you would realize that a lot of us don't feel that way. But you seem to ignore us when we try to express that.

Why do you seem to think that is some sort of a "triumph"? I think it's sad that a young woman whose life is spinning out of control loses her children to a man who dumped his 8 months pregnant girlfriend just to take up with her. Also, I understand he doesn't want anything to do with those two children he had with that girlfriend.

What am I taking exactly? She is currently an unfit mother and has no business being in charge of two children who need care, so they were taken away by the law. Is there anything more to it?

Hey, if she was an unfit mother and had the financial resources to support her ex through palimony and her children through child support, I say Hooray!

1. It was coming
2. She didn't follow court ordered rehab + to stop partying
3. Paparrazi photos of her antics did not help
4. As far as Kevin getting custody it isn't about being a feminists its about the kids -- so you out of order on that. Yeah, its your opinion but really the kids are better off with a caring parent regardless of the SO CALLED HIT ATTEMPT on his life...
5. Get over it dude.
