I was on Zoloft for 10 years, I have never heard of it causing weight gain in anyone and it didn't me, but I also started on it when I was 7 and got taken off when i was 17 so I was more active and had a higher metabolism when I was younger, but that's not a side effect of Zoloft.

Mangosteen, cousin to St. Johns wart, is a natural anti depressant and it has no side effects. Here is some research for you to look at. I take it on a daily basis and it has been a life saver to me and my family in more ways then one!

Try Wellbutrin. It actually helps some people lose weight by diminishing their appetite.
There is also a generic that works just as well and will save you a lot of money.

Wellbutrin works for some, but it can make some people edgy. I take Lexapro and the only side effect I get is a hot flash now and then. (To my menopausal mother's great delight.) They were more common the first month or so, but rare now.
Good luck!
