It's all POLITICS on both sides of the fence.
Promise EVERYTHING.....deliver NOTHING!
That is why the bible tells us not to put our trust in earthling man who cannot direct his own footsteps. Jeremiah 10:23

In this case...it's not about saying one thing and doing another. They want the troops home. They threatened to cut military funds, but no one believed that would actually occur...and now that they've lost the battle to pull out immediately, they're going to approve this. The reason being...if they can't save American lives by bringing them home, they're not going to leave them over there without the equipment necessary to protect themselves.
Remember...when this first started, the Repubs didn't bother with their safety. Families had to purchase body armor and send it to their soldiers. THAT'S sad. The bull goes both ways, but saying it's just the dem's playing with soldier's lives is blindly one sided.

It's not just the Democrats. it's most politicians in general, irregardless of the party affiliation.
They say anything that sounds good to get them elected hoping that once in office, people will forget about the promises the politician made in the first place.
Can you name meone honest politician (Dem or Rep) who has promised certain points during the election and actually kept them?

Politicians as a whole will say anything to get elected, once in office, they join the "good ole boys" club
You also have to remember that no matter what they say, without a majority in Congress, it's hard to do anything
The problem with all of our "supposed" representatives is that they've forgotten the word and meaning of "COMPROMISE"
