You arent going to find anything BUT fake answers here. All you will see after me is a bunch of MLM marketing pyramid scams designed to take your cash...
The only way you can legitimately make money, is selling on Ebay with stuff YOU ALREADY OWN, or know how to make ( IE dreamcatcher's, crafts and the like), or if you want to sell stuff for your friends and family that THEY already own... for listing fees and a small commission.. of course.... Anything else is a load of BS. All you'll end up finding out is how large of a load of BS it is...

Hi.
With little searching you can find some legitimate ways to make money at home.
For work at home you have several options.
1. If you're a good writer you can signon to almost any webmaster forum and advertise that you can write short, 500 word articles on a particluar topic in which you're knowledgable. Many webmasters need this service for their websites.
2. If you can program go to one of the freelance programmers websites and advertise your services. You'd be surprised how many people need programmers. Especially PHP and ASP.
3. Many companies need data entry help, but these can be hard to find since the opportunities are limited.
4. Signup with a marketing opinion gathering service like http://www.consumeropinionlab.com . They pay you to act like a "neilson" family ... that is they pay you to give your opinion on products and services.
There really is a surprising number of jobs out there that you can do from home/dorm/jail, etc.
Good Luck!

There are precious few real work-at-home-on-your-computer jobs. My sister-in-law does medical transcription and that pays really well, but she's typing 4-6 hours a day at 120-150wpm and it has to be 100% accurate. Not something a neophyte can jump into and immediately start making money at.
The eBay thing is real and works, but takes a lot of setup and has to be babysat constantly. Getting into that can be hard as you have to find the wholesalers who will dropship.
Other than, it's mostly scams.

YES! There are legit work at home options…….I looked for 2 years before I found a good one! Learn from my experiences….lol
I’m a stay at home mom of two little girls a 1 year old and a 3 year old. I work about 15-18 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. I have been with the company for 6 months and am now making over $2500 a month! In your first month, depending on how many hours you can work I have seen people make anywhere from $500-$2000. And your income will increase each month because we get paid residual income as well. If I continue on as I am going at the end of my 2nd year with the company I will be making $75,000 a year! My friend Becky started 2 years before me. She is now making $95,000 a year.
The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit and a benefits package. In addition, there are no products, no hard selling or pushing, no cold calling and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me.
I absolutely love working with them and I can't believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. The support is great but I have made wonderful friends as well. I think that’s important too, especially being at home!
I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce which is very impressive. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” and the “American Medical Review”. Even “60 Minutes” with Morley Safer did a big special on them!
Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nation wide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart and more. These companies would never work with a company that was any thing less then reputable. That made me feel very good about working with them knowing they were accepted at the stores I frequent. Also now of course being with them I get the benefits for free and I saved over $150 on my last visit to the dentist! That’s just a beautiful perk! : - )
When I first started I just felt very safe with them…. that and my friend was already making so much money with them! But at this point I feel a sense of security financially that our family has never had before. That plus LOVING what you do? What could be better?
Check them out! Just type in www.workathomeplus.net in your web browser.
I know some people want to work from home with no cost involved. That unfortunately won’t happen as all the work from home opportunities are home businesses not jobs (Just Over Broke). We know that there is cost involved with running any business but one main reason I chose Ameriplan is because our costs are SO low. It is less then $100 bucks to start this lucrative home business and that was important to me because I didn’t have hundreds or even thousands to start a home business. I would think most people don’t as well.
Good luck in your search. Ameriplan is an amazing company to work with so I hope you check them out!

I have a stay at home job where I work from my computer, but the way I did it isn't going to help you.
I have a computer science degree, and worked as a travelling consultant for 4 years. My employer liked my work, but after I had kids I wouldn't take the travel anymore. I told my employer, and started looking for another job.
Since the employer trusted me to work at home, they let me start writing courseware (textbooks) to teach people to use their software.
So, I do it, but it took several years of non-at-home work, a good track record, an education, and an employer who knows and trusts you.
The problem is, if you want a SALARY, any employer is going to want to watch you for a few years to judge whether you can be trusted with a stay at home job. So, without that trust, the best you are going to have is COMMISSION, or piecework.
If you don't have a marketable skill, and expect to do something like stuff envelopes or click computers, forget it. If you can do it from home, they can hire a kid in Pakistan to do unskilled remote work for a fraction of the price.
Sorry for the lack of good news, but economics are against you. If you have a skill that is conducive to at-home work, you might have a chance.
-->Adam

The best online jobs are really some kind of consultant like Mary Kay, Avon, or something like Ameriplan. Most of the rest of the business are mostly MLM schemes, 1up or 2up matrix, something were you have to find people to refer. Oh yeah surveys, blogging all those are good to, just be careful of all the scams out there

Since the companies in India have you totally beat on price (about a $1 / hr for data entry ) and are fully contracted with US businesses , ( USA downloads to them at the end of our business day & the work is done & uploaded by the next AM ) .
You might consider , babysitting , baking , sewing . . .
