There are many details missing from your question. How long have you had it? What kind do you have? It is best you call your Dr and ask them what is going on.

I have had the Mirena IUD for over a year and never get cramps.

You should call you doctor asap. I have the Mirena and I have had severe cramping every month (without my period) since I got it. My doctor told me it was because my uterus is still not used to and is trying to expel it. I go back for another ultrasound in a month to check placement again and decide whether I want it taken out.

Every woman's body reacts differently. If you are worried then call your doctor. I wish you luck!
