The only way I can see for us to get back the unity of right after 9/11 is to have an independent impartial investigation of it(9/11)!!Only an impartial investigation will ever put to rest the theories including the governments!
I am looking for honest answers please.

I don't think digging 9/11 back up will help at all- that investigation is likely to light more fires than it douses. The only way we're going to revive our national unity, is for the two parties to declare a truce and start working together for once. If they can't do that, then it won't be long before one of the fringe parties gains enough popularity to push one of them into obscurity. It's happened before in our history, and it will happen again if they don't shape up.

I think it starts with the determination to end pork barrel spending. If Federal money is spent, it needs to be shown that the dollars will benefit a majority of the country and not simply the state where the project is based.
I favor a change in campaign law that would force the politicians to spend more time out in public speaking and less doing quick soundbites. More "townhall" styled debates without canned questions.
In the end, the two parties would have to value the betterment of the average American over the success of the GOP or Democratic Party. I'd like to see that, but I'm a bit cynical about that actually occurring.

The only way to have a national unity that lasts is for the people to trust that their government will always act in their best interest, and the only way to do that is to fire all the senators and congressmen, get rid of all lobbiests, and start over. The people of the US have not trusted in their government for at least the last 100 years, and possibly even before that.

Every national election is 51% to 49%.
This country is becoming more and more segmented, especially with the influx of 20 million criminal aliens.
There WAS an independent, impartial investigation.
Just because you don't want to believe the results, doesn't change the facts.
It was 19 Muslim savages that hi-jacked 4 commercial airliners. Two were crashed into WTC, one was crashed into The Pentagon, and one was crashed into a field in PA.
Around 3000 people died.
That's it.

The brief post-9/11 period when anti-American expression was out of style didn't really represent unity. It was just an interlude when those who hated America were afraid to say so as openly as they had before.
Obviously, that time has past.

Honestly and unfortunately, another tragedy. Then a few days later, it will be back to business as usual.
The actual solution would be to disband both major political parties and get everyone to think for themselves instead of following either side. But that will never happen. Too many people are sucked into the idea that their party is the right party. It's kinda like religion.

I have a dream for national unity...a little different than the Rev Martin Luther Kings dream however...
I see a day where 1000's of ships are filled with liberals with one way tickets to France...and under each arm they are carrying an illegal alien out of our country with them....The fleet commander is Teddy Kennedy after he just downed several fifths of Chivas.

The last national unity was during WWII. Since that time, the liberal socialist Democrat party has been in control, and they don't want the common people unified. If that happens, they will lose control, and socialism will be defeated.

I think that investigation would take FOREVER! And they may never know, but i think as a society you should just not blame others if you are not sure. And move on.
