Well, I don't know how you can "accidentally go swimming," but it won't hurt anything to go, whether on purpose or by accident. Your period will continue as before. Wear a tampon if you are having your period and make sure the string is tucked inside your suit. How bad would THAT be???

Depends how heavy your period is. There might actually be nothing noticeable, or maybe just a tiny red stain in your swimmers. The cold water can cause the flow to slow as well. However if you have a heavy period then the blood might leak into the water and also be visible on your legs etc. if you get out. The best thing to do is wear a tampon. Or board shorts over your swimmers!

If you had a bleeding cut on your arm, what would you expect??? Your swimsuit will get stained in the crotch area,
when you get out of the water, red drips may run down your leg toward your knees.
In the water, a pinkish cloud may exude into the pool.

Before you goes to the swimming. You should wear a tampon. It's will protect getting bleeding or leak. And can not wear a pad while you're in the pool.
