Hell yes you can........if she won't do it show up to her work and school butt naked. Besides does she really want to deprive Grandma of her Bingo? What the hell with the dementia she won't remember anyway. I say if she won't let you drive liquored up than she can sleep in the car.......damn kids.

You cannot legally drive. If you make her allow you to drive, you are also breaking the law because you are driving with no insurance.

You sound like a crybaby. "SHE ISN'T SHARING!"

It is her car, you have no DL and you got your car impounded. Why is that her problem?

If you throw her out at 16, that is neglect. Your mother does not NEED to go to BINGO...it sounds like you want to go.

Basically, it sounds like your daughter is more responsible than you...live with it.

tk,.... you are right about everything except that this loony woman cannot legally drive any car, and if my mother was that pathetic, and took my car (even if it were in her name) I would call the police on he so that she could not destroy her own life or someone else's while driving w/o insurance. My friend got hit and lost 1/2 of her leg by someone driving without a license, and thus w/o insurance...and is STILL paying the medical bill...9 years later.

christina...well stated. If I could award you the 10 points, I would.

NO NO NO if you don't have a license you CAN NOT drive any car. If you get pulled over with out a drivers license and your driving her car GUESS what both of your car will be in the impounded. I think it is very brat like of you if you think you daughter should let you use her car or you put her on the street. You should of more responsible about your actions on how you car got taken in the 1st place. Don't put this on you daughter your a grown women take care of yourself, get your license back and you car out of the impound.

This has got to be a joke. Your 16 year old works two jobs and goes to school, and you want to take her car because you want to take grandma to bingo?

You are a ridiculous excuse for a human being. If you have no license, get gramma on the bus and take her to bingo.

If you are caught driving her car without a license, her car could be impounded too. You are a selfish, childish person. grow up!

This is probably the saddest possible way to handle this situation...

If the car is in your daughter's name, no. She can claim theft if you take it without her permission. If it is in your name or both of your name, then yes, you have as much right as she has. (as far as the law is concerned)

Since she is 16, (younger than 18), you have the responsibility to provide her with housing and food. That is your responsibility. If it has to come down to the law, you can not use that logic.

You said you have no license. You are not legally allowed to drive in the first place.

With all that said... it appears your daughter is being as responsible as 16 year old can ever get: going to school, having two jobs, etc. Now you want to take her car because you had yours impounded? AND you don't even have a driver's license? You are in no place to demand anyone share anything. It seems to be your daughter is being far more responsible and law abiding citizen than you. I'm sorry... this is messed up.

Wait - you mean you let her live in your house and eat your food?? I can't believe a parent would do that for their own daughter!! Somebody should give you a medal or something!

Honestly, you say that your daughter works and goes to school - and is able to afford her own car. Any she is a spoiled brat because you want to take your mom to bingo!! Why don't you go get another job and get your license and stop picking on your daughter!!

I see your daughter is the one with the brains in that family. She should never let a unlicensed driver , drive her car. Looks like you screwed up your life and car, it is impounded, now why do you want to screw up your daughters life too. If your mother has dementia, she does not even know she is in a Bingo Hall, so do not use that as a excuse. If I were your daughter, I would go live with a relative that appreciated me more.

Nope. With no license, you can't drive, so your daughter CANNOT allow you to drive her car.

You're the spoiled brat in this picture, not your daughter.

Ask your daughter to drive you and your mother to bingo. *shrug* ...and no "nightspot" for someone who has dementia, for crying out loud.

You want someone to hate? Look in the mirror. Then get your own car out of impound, and get your own license.

Did I already say "for crying out loud?" It bears repeating.

No If you look on the back of a driving licence it's got a few little pictures on indicating what you can and can't drive. But if you're license has been suspended anything depicted on the card you're suspended from driving.

You should be thankful that you have a daughter that somehow obtained a hell of a lot more smarts than you ever did.

Some how she's found a Mentor that has done her more good then you have.

What do you do while your mother is playing bingo? Never mind, I think I know.
