Ok, so meorge is out of the question for our newborn, people have mad that very clear. My wife and I have narrowed it down to these two names if it's a girl: Claire and Maddie (Madelynn)

Which of these names do you prefer? Why?

Madelynn because Maddie is really cute for a young girl, and Madelynn is more mature, wherease Claire is just more mature, in my opinion.

Those are both really nice names! Claire is pretty and girly sounding and I like Maddie but I like the fact that Claire is the name and not being shortened to a nickname. I like calling the baby by the origanal name. But whatever you decide it's nice either way! Congradulations on your baby girl!

I hate Maddie. MADdie... it sound too rough to me. But I love Claire. I have a friend with the name Claire, and she is very beautiful and kind. Don't you think Claire sounds better? Say it out loud: Claire. See? It flows nicely. If you want to change, you could also try Clara. But Claire is very pretty. Good luck on your baby ♥

Claire.

I'd prefer Madeleine or Madeline, but the spelling you've suggested strikes me as unsophisticated.

I missed the original post, though - is Claire Meorge an option? If you're choosing Meorge to honor someone or somewhere, then tucking it in the middle is a nice choice.

I LOVE Claire. My favorite teacher's name is Claire. I think the name is really sophisticated and classic.

I know WAY too many Madeline/Madison's. I really don't like the nn Maddie, and I don't like Madison - because it sounds like you're the son of someone that's mad. I like Madeline, but not the nn that comes with it.

I vote for Claire.

I prefer Wilhelmina, Gertruda, Helen or Sophie myself.

Best advice I can give you though is play the proposed first names off your last name and see what "rolls" better. Also, watch out for initials, as many parents don't think of the consequences of same (i.e., Madelynn Ann Dorehty sounds good, but then the initials come out MAD, not so good for monogramming).
