This will be my largest post ever in the wrestling section so either get comfortable and use some eye drops ahead of time or skip past this long post. Be sure to take your bathroom breaks and beer runs now as there will be no leaving once you've started to read what's below. (J/K)
From the sound of your question, it sounds like you are asking if Yahoo should implement titles for various sections. I can't see Yahoo doing that for each section. I could see Yahoo replacing levels 1-7 with some type of rank but it would be a universal one across the whole YA Network. Don't forget, this section is also suppose to serve as a place for high school and amateur wrestling so those ranks wouldn't fit too well for those users. And as far as titles go, it would probably be linked to the levels like I stated above, once someone accumulates "X" amount of answers posted or receives "X" amount of good answers or thumbs up, they eventually move up into the next ranking. I can see it now, we will have numerous Jobbers (whatever the beginning title is) and numerous World Champions, filled ranks with the top and bottom dominating the ranking system, it would basically be unique to be somewhere in the middle with a title that not everyone has.
If you mean ... Having YA users here in the wrestling section vote in a topic (like the tournaments) to determine who the YA Weekly Champions should be, that could work for us internally. The best way to do this would be to accept answers from those who don't have newly created accounts or for anyone not level 2 or level 3 yet ... So the "requirement to cast a vote" would be based on a certain level that someone has achieved. Personally, I'd make Level 3 and higher users be allowed to cast a vote. Level 1 and 2's can still cast a vote if they like (to show support) but they would not be calculated into the totals to determine who the champions of a given week would be.
Also, we should not make new champions weekly unless it's voted that way. Someone, say Book of Wrestling, who receives votes week after week from the wrestling section to remain a World Champion should remain a World Champion. There should be no rule such as: You can only remain a champion for one or two weeks then someone else must take the reign ... of course, unless Book of Wrestling is outvoted and moved down a notch or is removed from the list for that week he lost his title.
In regards to cheating, we must admit that cheating will be here and anywhere anyone here decides to go. Cheating is something people do to get ahead of everyone else, both in RL and on the internet and we will never be able to erase cheating here at YA (name any section on the YA network where there is no cheating!).
If users put this idea into effect, it could be interesting and fun ... perhaps spark a little competition for people to answer questions with real answers instead of "IDK" or "Who Cares" ... And since users vote on who they think deserves to be a champion for that week, there is no competition for voting or having the most votes like the current Top Answerers section, since many do not see Top Answerer being an achievement since it is so easily achieved for people with multiple accounts or friends. With a voting system from users on weekly champions, only your vote matters as a user and only the votes from other users matter, not what your percentage of best answers is.
The criteria should be based on a few things: 1) Does a user give informative answers? -Regardless of who wins the top answer for that question- This way, users can have a little fun also since not every single answer will be used in determining who deserves to be a weekly champion ... 2) Is the user a nice person overall or a troll? (self explanatory) ... And whatever other criteria I can't think of now that users think it's important to add in when determining a weekly champion (winner).
Some would say this sounds stupid but doesn't spending most of your free time here anyways, stupid? Yes, so why not have some fun with it. We're all here to have fun and to get a little knowledge in whenever we can. Why not have fun with it?
Here is where I slide into the YA Voting process. I recommend if people care so much for Top Answerers, users take control of whatever they can. Be sure to use your votes daily in the wrestling section and elsewhere and do not let them go to waste. Preferably, keep them in the wrestling section if this is the only place you post.
Also, for those who ask questions, "Pick A Best Answer" and do not let your questions go to voting. That is how a majority of cheaters become Top Contributors and Top Answerers. Let the cheaters work harder for their positions. Make sure cheaters have so many accounts they have to outsource their million accounts to India because they need help from outsourcing to cast all their votes.
This may go too far but ... any answers where the question asker is too lazy to pick a Best Answer for the question they asked, many should go through and vote "No Best Answer" ... then again, that is also a form of trolling and will likely hurt and scare off anyone new who comes to the wrestling section. Whatever we decide, we need to accept new people here and not chase people away because they think the wrestling section is one large CLIQUE that they're not a member of. We need to welcome new answerers and accept them as equals (minus the voting priviledge til they reach the required level) instead of bashing them by saying things like "Are you blind? There are 20 other discussions right below this one with the same EXACT question. You are now reported for spamming." I haven't seen any veterans say that but a few others, likely cheaters with multiple accounts.
Another recommendation to keep the wrestling section clean of B/S: Any questions that pertain to "A Fruit vs. A Vegetable, Who Would Win?" and those type of questions, don't answer. Allow them to go unanswered and get automatically deleted by Yahoos' system. The same goes for all types of trolling questions pertaining to suicide or sexual content that isn't necessarily wrestling related. We all know what's wrestling related and it's not a "Cucumber vs. Bananna, Which Hurts More?" question.
Also, all the Witch Hunts on Top Answerers whether they are cheaters or not, should stop, which has happened for the most part. Using Mob-like tactics such as lynching and racqueteering to try and "scare" a Top Answerer into changing their cheating ways won't do any good. The cheaters are here to stay whether we like it or not. What we can do, however, is ignore them and eventually, they will get bored that the only person who respects them is the person looking back at them in the mirror. It's lonely at the top when no one cares.
Personally, I like the idea of user-selected "Weekly Champions" based on their performance in the wrestling section. Hopefully, enough people will be interested in the "YA Wrestling Section Rankings/Titles" idea to make it become a reality.
Now, I hate to throw names into a hat, which is volunteering people, but I think BoW, Shane101, Mr.C, and SubZero would make a decent Wrestling Section Committee to run something like this, they all have proven their kindness, honesty, and knowledge time and time again. I'm not sure if they would want to though, I'm just throwing in some names off the top of my head that have unblemished credibility.
Well, I think that's about all I want to say and if it isn't, I'll just edit this and add another 10 pages worth of text later. (J/K)
By the way:
YA Ultimate User: ? (Dunno What Ultimate User Is Exactly)
YA Legend: Jayson Kayne
YA World Champion: Shane101
YA United States: Mr.C
YA Cruiserweight: Koumidiator
I based the above on Answering and their contributions to the Wrestling Section. Here are two lists of possible titles if this idea moves forward:
YA World Champion: (Best Answerer For Week)
YA US/IC Champion: (2nd Best Answerer For The Week)
YA TV/Internet Champion: (Solid Participant-midcarder)
YA Cruiserweight Champion: (Best New Answerer?)
YA Xtreme(or Hardcore) Champion: (uses sarcasm, class clown without ticking people off and making them leave YA)
YA Ultimate Champion: (Best Answerer For The Week)
YA Deluxe Champion: (2nd Best Answerer For The Week)
YA Internet Champion: (3rd Best Answerer For The Week)
YA Keyboard Champion: (New Best Answerer)
YA "You Got Seved" or "Owned" Champion: (Most Sarcastic/Funniest/Humorous Weekly Award)
If you have a heartbeat, congratulations! You've made it through the longest post EVER in the wrestling section!

I guess I'd have to go with the excitement. Just wondering what I might see next. Will I see maneuvers I've never seen before? Will I see a great match between two competitors? Will I see a well deserved wrestler finally get his push? Or maybe it can be the fact that I actually would like to try this one day and I'm learning as I observe. I know I'm sort of answering your question with questions, but I'm not officially sure myself. I know the match that got me hooked to wrestling was the Dean Malenko vs Eddie Guerrero 2 out of 3 falls match in ECW. After viewing that, I know I liked what I saw and I kept searching and searching into it. The technically skill displayed in that match was awesome. That was one of the main factors that caught my eye.

That would be pretty cool, but kinda confusing to some people.
You would be a Legend
Shane101 would be Ultimate User
Big Van Vader would be World Champion
Hulk Rules! would be United States Champ
Young Jeezy would be Cruiserweight
Audrina would be women's champ

Now that would be cool! We could compete with each other for different titles. There would need to be a TV title too. I always liked that belt.
I'll take the TV title for myself and let the rest of you play quarters for the remaining titles...
