i lost one of my friend's necklaces that he lent to me, i had no idea the ring attached to it was a family heirloom, if i had known i wouldn't have even accepted it being lent to me. well the point is that i lost it, i'm afraid to tell him. i've only known him for like a month so i dunno if he will be able to forgive me, if he's a true enough friend yet. you think he'll be so mad he won't speak to me again or worse?

There is no way to know what his reaction will be but keep looking diligently for the necklace and I do hope you find it. I almost lost a guy's class ring once, so I gave it back because I was very afraid of losing something to another person. I would make it a policy to not borrow things.

You should tell your friend the truth, and apologies, actually beg for forgiveness, but the longer you wait the harder it's going to be. Don't let him ask for it, offer up the information, let him know that you are sorry. If it was a family heirloom he should never had lent it out to you in the first place, keep in mind that when someone lends you something you should take very good care of it because it's their way of saying they trust you. So do the right thing and tell your friend.

Tell him that your sorry you lost it and that you will do whatever it takes to find it
*Where did you have it last
*Did you set it somewhere
*Search your whole house&room
* Tell your family to look out for it around the house
If you can't find it tell your friend your really sorry. And If there really your friend they will understand, they may just need some time to get over it, But hopefully they will understand.
Hope you find it

It's best to let him know as soon as possible and just let him know how horrible you feel about it. Maybe he'll help you track it down.

First of all, why were you wearing HIS necklace?

Thrid, you need to replace it...
