Well to make a long story short
theres this girl in my 3rd period english class who saw I had manga with me and she asked if I could bring the first volume of one and i said sure ...... but now I'm not sure I'll stay true to it becuase I only see her during science ad I don't really know her

The problem is I don't wanna appear to be a mean person and/or a liar
Should I just simply tell her that "I'm sorry I can't let u borrow it"

If you're afraid she will lose it or something, maybe you could say the teacher caught you with it and said don't bring it to school anymore or it will get confiscated.

Just a suggestion (I don't like encourageing lying, but sometimes a little white lie will save hurt feelings).

don't let her borrow it. as trustworthy as anybody can be, people lose stuff, trust me, i lost my new friend's family heirloom, a ring. i haven't told him yet but i'll have to tomorrow...
