rather than their own country (Brazil)esp that both were born and lived in Brazil for a long time before they move to the countries they play for now
Eduardo Da Silva born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and moved to Croatia when he was 15 yrs old
Deco born also in Brazil and moved to Portugal when he was 19 yrs old..
Do u think that it would have been better for them and for the Brazilian national team to play for their own country (Brazil)or it is ok to play for another country?
Personally I donot think it is a big deal but some friends of mine including a Brazilian doesnot like this idea so much...
What about u ?

okay, at MT galo, NEVER talk about pele like that. he deserves respect

anyways, yeah, it really bothers me because i think that everyone should play in their country, but having players in other countries is also good because it makes soccer so much more universal and in a way unifies everyone.

im fine with them playing in different clubs, it gives brasilians more success as well, and spreads the brasilian magic all over the world. but, when a player plays for a different country in the world cup, that bothers me ALOT.

because, the world cup is the time to represent your country, to see which country has the best team. if you play for another team, playing for another team is being a traitor.

that's why canada's team isn't so good. because all of the canadians that love soccer, grew up cheering for another country, their passion for the game was born in another country, so when they get older and play professionally, they go and play for a different country. we actually have had a lot of good players come out of canada, they just don't play for us. but im sure that brasil will never be like that, because anyone brasilian would be proud to wear the yellow and green jerseys.

Well, I'm Brazilian and I don't care that much. Eduardo da Silva would never play for the Brazilian team. Deco maybe, but when he was invited by the Portugueses for the first time he wasn't so good as he is today. I'm sure he's sorry now.

I respect the ones that make this decision but I don't like it at all. If I were Croatian I wouldn't like a player like Eduardo da Silva, that wasn't born in Croatia, that didn't grew up in Croatia, that has no Croatia ancestry, playing for Croatia. We're talking about COUNTRIES, not CLUBS!!

Deco, yes, but not da Silva. I think its kind of messed up, but hey, if a country is desperate enough to include players from another nation to better their own national team, then good for them; what ever floats your boat, I guess. As long as they don't start getting carried away, like France or the USA, the latter which includes people who can't even speak their native language, into their national teams (specifically U-20). I know I'll stop being a Brazil fan if they start including complete strangers from foreign countries, just to keep up with the rest of the world; its low, cheap, and degrading.

It's more political than anything else because those players who were born in Brazil and playing for another country are very lucky because the Brazilian national team doesn't really needs them because they have an army of well qualified players to play for the country,on the other hand it's better for Deco and others to obtain the citizenship of the country where they're living and have more chance to play and compete internationally.

Well, if a player cannot play for his country of origin because they do not need him, meanwhile there is another country who need him, what's the problem?

It's just like Mauro Camoranesi's case. He's an Argentinian, but his grandfather is an Italian, so he can play for both countries. Argentina did not need him, but he would be valuable for Italy. So he chose Italy, and he won WC 2006 with Italy. Did Argentina regret their decision to let him go? I don't think so.

As long as a player play for a country not merely for money or glory ( I mean there is a legal base to justify their inclusion to a national team, not just because their craving for money and glory), I do not see any problem.

A good Doctor has following points.. *His social or communication skills with the patients which constitutes both verbal and non-verbal (body language) communication...As our profession is a Community Service. *He should be a role model (a doctor who tells his/her patients to quit smoking should not be seen smoking outside the hospital 5 minutes after the patient leaves.. where's the intergrity in this right?) *He should be able to communicate in a way the patient understands (not going off on the properties of amino acids... etc. etc) as this may come out as arrogance *He, IDEALLY should follow up on his patients ... give them phone calls to see how they're doing *The doctor should be WILLING TO TEACH!!... this goes along very well with preventive health care. The doctor should give the patients the fishing rods, rather than the fish. If a doctor knows how to teach his/her patient what to do and what not to do, the doctor will be able to help the patient change his lifestyle for the better so that the patient doesn't have to keep coming back. *>And last but not the least he must be INTELLIGENT, UPDATED, And Most Of all ETHICAL. would those players even be playing for brazil lol. brazil has so many players it really doesnt matter. i just wish fifa had some rule that it was based on you were your parents live or lived not were you do or that when you that after you become a teenager it doesnt matter were you live you can only play for a country you lived in the past or based on you parents.

it just seems to me is that brazilians could just decide to move some were that ist as good in soccer and get citzenship and than play for that country instead.

Why would they??? Like they dont have enough good players in Brazil!! And plus do you think da Silva would even make the cut?! Deco maybe because of the way he plays but Brazil has enough talent to replace anybody anytime.

Sure Not, they would never had a chance in brazilian soccer team because our federation choose always the players who have common interest with CBF, like Ronaldinho who always bring a lot of money when play. They were right in finding another countries for play.
