For you hair I would go with some waves and put half of it up into a pony-tail, and give the top some volume like in the movie hairspray. For make up I would go with more eye makeup then anything else. For the shoes go with some long brown leather boots. I would also get some red plastic jewlary to add to all of it. Have fun!!!

Big hair with those head bands to hold some of out of your face, those thick ceramic/plastic solid color bracelets, shoes with some soul and nice teal makeup around the eyes.
Colors to embrace: olive green, orange, and flowery yellow. Unless you want to go flashy, then it is all about the sequins. Watch Austin Powers Gold Member for more ideas. Their whole scene is in the 70s.

1] purple eyeshadow, or shadow that matches your fingernails
[ yes, we really did that ]; matte foundation or powder, and lip gloss.
2] long straight hair, parted in middle - maybe two plain barettes, holding back front of hair on each side. No headbands [ 60s] , or big hair[ 80s ].
3] platform shoes
4] jewelry - gold/silver studs or hoops, and a mood ring. No plastic jewelry.
Austin Powers is the 60s [ went to grammer school then ]
Hairspray is also the 60s!
