Usually resembles lifelong patterns, but there have been people who have revelations when they know they are dying.

I do not think any of those can account for how a person who's dealing with a terminal illness copes. I have had some experience with this as I've been told at least twice that I should be dead, that the blood disease that I had could come back and kill me at any time in my life and I've watched two people whom I loved die over months from cancer and severe brain injuries. IF I was told now that the blood disease had returned and that I would die from it this time I would be upset and I'm not sure that I would believe it since I've beaten it twice so far. But if they were positive that it would happen I would make sure that my daughter's knew how much I loved them and make sure that my minor daughter was taken care of. When my daughter's father died from Breast cancer he was a week away from dying and he still believed that he would make it even thought he'd lost about 100 pounds and could barley walk and he was in so much pain that they had him on constant morphine and they'd stopped chemo because it wouldn't work any more. The last time that we saw him he told me that he would see me at Christmas. I wanted to believe him for our daughter's and his sake, he died a week later. So I'm not sure that there is any one particular way that someone deals with the idea of terminal illness

I'd say B but for people to cope with the passing of a loved one it takes can be any or all of those reasons.
