Hi, yeah it really is worth it. Windows Vista will give u awesome desktop effects, windows aero I mean. Plus since it has Directx 10 which is only for Windows Vista then u will be able to play DirectX 10 games. Most new games are for Windows Vista only. Vista has new security features like user account control, these r the features that r present in Linux and Unix and finally they have come in Windows. This means less viruses, trojans, and spyware. It is also the latest operating system. I think its worth it.
Good Luck!

I agree. I just had to buy a new computer and it came with Vista. I don't like it. Also, you may want to check to see if your hardware is compatible. My printer is 4 years old, but was an expensive one. There are no Vista drivers for my particular printer and HP says they are not going to make any. I have also noticed that the system is very slow. Much slower than XP. I wish I could go back.

in case you has asked until now interior the 300 and sixty 5 days i might have stated bounce on it. abode windows 8 professional grew to become into great affordable and could have been properly actually worth the money. except you would be getting it for unfastened or almost unfastened, it is not properly worth it. At this element that is greater appropriate to maintain that $a hundred and positioned it in the direction of a sparkling laptop that is already working abode windows 8. that is purely a greater appropriate deal on you cash. - Dominic

i have always used xp and its great but vista is newer and the media player is great. perhaps it depends on the computer but the tabs for windows seem more accessable. also vista seems more setup to access video feeds quickly.

I used XP for five years. My mother bought a laptop with Vista. Within a minute after starting it up, I was frustrated and lost.
