The starter is getting power and the starter motor is turning, but it is not turning the engine. i am stranded at work HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is it a plunger or something...i don;t have my repair manual.

You probably have a sticking starter drive or a flat spot on the flywheel. First thing to do is to hit the starter with something hard like a hammer or a ratchet handle. that will usually do the trick. Just follow the positive battery cable down to the starter--it should be on top of the transmission on the passenger side of the car. don't be afraid to hit it.

if that doesn't work, put the car in gear, release the brake and try to roll the car back about 2 feet. that should rotate the flywheel and get to clean teeth to engage the starter.

I think hitting the starter will do the trick. keep your fingers crossed.

Call a dealer to come take the car for proper repairs. It will cost you some money but that's just the price you will have to pay for Honda Quality.

stomp on the break 3 times and on third time try starting it.
