I just found two blank money orders. What should I do?

I was walking in the supermarket and stumbled across two blank money orders on the floor. One for 72.00 and another for 500.00. Should I return it to the clerk at the Money order booth?The Supermarket manager? Or just call the store all this week to see if someone lost the money order with the exact amount? Should I deposit it in my account and wait to a while to see if the person will track it back to my account, then return it?

Do not, I repeat DO NOT deposit them into your bank account, it will then be traced back to you then it will just look like you tried to steal them!

Best bet is to do the person a favor and rip them up! They can always get them replaced or canceled. If you place them in the possession of someone else, you always run the risk of them taking advantage and cashing the money orders themselves.

I would call the post office in the morning and explain what happened. There may be a way for you to recover it if you have something else to show it was yours. The safe way is for the client to contact the post office , put a stop on that money order, and get a new one . There may be a charge for that .

Turn them in to the manager. Somebody bought them, and they're probably going to call and ask about them. You don't want to steal their money.

Well i think that you should return it because if you dont and they trace it back to you ,you might get in trouble and it is the right thing to do.

You should have IMMEDIATELY turned them in to the store. Whoever lost them undoubtedly has been trying to track them down.
