Deleted Question: Can You Help Me Out Here?

This is an old question which has now been deleted because someone thought it against community guidelines.

This posting may also be deleted. So be it.

I do not like being on a site where I have absolutely NO IDEA what I did wrong!

I have participated in various forums on the internet for years and know how to phrase things so as not to cause dismay among others...so....I guess this one just won't work for me.

Since the question has now been deleted and it was an old one, I can't even remember the details...but all I asked was about how the site works...what do thumbs down and up mean and how does that affect one; how and why are folk violated.

That was all. Thanks to you who understand and for the support and to others, everybody has a right to their opionion in my opinion.

And to those who asked about the question itself of this posting...guess an apology is in order [?] It was a play on words of other postings about having 'arrived' after a violation. Dang..this is harder than I thought

Please take my advice...go to your avatar and click on it, click "edit profile," scroll down and make all questions and answers private (there is a box to check there). At the same time, make your contacts "private." To become a contact, people have to ask you if they have permission...allow no contacts if you are not comfortable with what you read in their profile, do not allow profiles that are less than one month old to be a contact.
You are under a mild troll attack, nothing more, nothing less..it is happening here too often. If you previous answers and questions are left open, a troll can go through each and every one of them, no matter how old, and report a violation...you have violated nothing here!
Stick it out, trust me, there are very few trolls within our ranks, if any. But, trolls from other areas wander in here and rush to create mayhem wherever they can. Violations mean nothing in the long run, unless there is a barrage of them at one time. then your account will be deleted. That, in itself means nothing, for you turn around and just open a new account, but you start at level one again. (not that it matters, points mean nothing here).
Please do as I have suggested immediatley...that will protect you as much as possible. Hiding questions and answers has nothing to do with openess or anything else...it is simply protection against attack. Sorry that we have to do this, but I have seen far too many very good members banned because of troll attack. Please don't be one of them. Love and peace, Phil

Hi Sage Seeker: We don't have to put up with the Yahoo
police anymore (or maybe its
the person who likes to report
everyone for no reason)...
Anyhow, I just got an email
from Amazon.com and they
have started an Answer
imitation. Go to:
Askville.com You may
have to go thru Google.
Let's see how long this is a
fun site before the trolls do
their filthy job.

Sage Seeker, from all the answers you have given on here that I have read, I know you have nothing but good advice to give.

As Tealc stated, there is a group of people trolling Seniors now that likes to report violations. Eventually this will backfire on them, and their account will be suspended.

In the meantime, do as so many of us have had to do, and just ignore the nastiness and soldier on.

Several people have had the same question deleted, that I know. I don't believe it's in the question itself, I believe that there are just incredibly unhappy people out here who have no joy in their life unless they bring misery to others. Trolls run rampant through these pages, and we have no recourse other than to leave this forum, or not ask questions at all.

Yes, unfortunately you've arrived with the rest of us. We may never know why a question is wrong, if we did we could avoid doing it again. Just hang in there, you're not alone and this is a lovely site most of the time.

I understand as I have almost 20,000 points and this site is the first to give me problems So my track records speaks for its self and if yu have a lot of point and a clean record as I have then do not worry and I understand your question and I see nothing wrong with it.

I am at level 5 now. So far have had one violation and since it was deleted I never did figure out what it was I said!

So anyway, what I am saying is "Join the club!"

Ask it again. Just be sure and add the word, Senior in front of it. You know who is doing this. It is really getting sad.

Well, I just read the answers after I submitted and Goldwing is right. I had to do it too. Check all your contacts and see how their contacts are. This will help you make your decision better.

I so get what you're saying now dear. What a shame and I'm sorry this happened to you. I haven't arrived yet I guess as I haven't had a violation or had anything deleted as yet. Don't you dare leave us though. OK? Thank you for the heads up.
Who cares? Just keep on keeping on as they say.
