It's really going to hurt them having McAllister out because Bush is not an every down running back. Don't get me wrong, Bush is a great running back and was a large part of the Saints many wins last year but he is not the type of running back you go to for the majority of your running plays.
That said, if the Saints try to use Bush as an every-down running back, then the O-line is going to have to open up some really big holes to give Bush the running room he needs to work his magic. Suffice to say... the O-line really hasn't been stellar this season and that not only effects their running game but their passing game as well.
Also, last year they were on an emotional high. Not only did Bush land in their lap which gave them a lot of positive momentum but they also had a cause... to win it for a devastated New Orleans. As such, they came together as a team... egos where set aside... and they probably played at a higher level than they ever will again.
Expect the Saints to finish below .500 this season.

I think it's probably a combo of a lot of things. Nearly everyone in every position is playing like absolute crap. Hopefully the bye week gave them some time to straighten themselves up quick.
They play the Panthers next week at home. Hopefully they can get something working. I can't see them going 0-16 but if things don't change fast, they might be headed that way.

They snuck up on teams last year with a style of offense comparable to the sling-fests of the 1960s AFL. Film has doomed the team, as clubs caught on how to defend the receivers which made it more difficult for Deuce and Reggie to find big gaps to run through. With Deuce out, the team is smoked offensively, as Reggie may have to run between tackles...a position he obviously is not best at.
On defense, the holes are magnified with the struggles on offense. No longer are opponents on their heels trying to keep up with scoring.
This is a 6 or 7 win club, at best.
