an abstract performace that represemnts how you see yourself what would you do? I have to do this for my theater class and I'm stomped. Nothing is off limits but It has to be four min long and it has to use abstract noise and movements. There so many ways in which I see myself which makes it hard to just condense some sort of performance to four minutes. Ex. I see myself as determined, creative, optimistic, yet on the other end I know I procrastinate, I can be lazy at times, I'm shy. I like to write and play softball and I love music. You see that's a lot to just bundle together. Can you guys give me some ideas please?

I mean no rudeness, but you should not be asking strangers to do this work for you.

The purpose of this assignment is for you to do some creative thinking -- the instructor wants to see how you can visualize concepts, and how you can communicate without using words [I presume the piece is to be non-verbal].

The one advice I'll offer is that it doesn't sound like you need to portray ALL those attributes and impressions in your piece. Choose a few of the more interesting ones to work with. Then be bold in coming up with ideas to represent them, and be fearless in how you develop and ultimately present them. Don't be afraid of rejection -- I doubt anyone will boo you or throw rotten tomatoes. :-)

If anyone else here offers concrete suggestions, please ignore them -- it seems to me that using someone else's framework/model will doom you to mediocrity, for you'll be trying to fit something that you didn't create.
