If attendance will triple, there will be $17,500 times 3 in sales, or $52,500. Divide that by $5 to find the number of patrons.

First multiply 17, 500 * 3 =$52,500
$52, 500 was sold in tickets.
52, 500 /5 =10, 500.
The total tickets sold is $10, 500.
