So, I know its normal to have irregular periods and missing them for a month or two, but on days that I'm expecting my period I always have on a pad because I get paranoid about having it that day. So, it doesn't come and I wear pads everyday until that month is over, then do it all over again the next month. So, my question here is what should I do about this? It is a waste of money to just put them on and throw them away because the period is still irregular. has this happened to anyone else?

Try just carrying the pads with you, but don't actually wear them. Most girls aren't really heavy the first day. If you're not, you can wear a panty liner if you are really concerned, or you can just make a point to go to the bathroom and check every couple of hours.

This happens to me too. I do it every month. I hate flushing all that wasted money down the toilet (literally). I have started really paying attention to how I feel right before my period comes and always have a tampon with me. As soon as I start to feel my period coming, I slip one in and usually dont have a problem. I still wear them at night though, so I dont wake up to a mess. There are a lot of online tracking sites that you can track your symptoms or you can use a journal or something, so you can start to see a pattern on how you feel and certain times in your cycle.

u could go see ur doctor and he can put u on birth control to regulate ur period. if that doesnt sound like something thats for u i would try pantieliners instead of pads. and just carry pads with u in ur purse in case u do get the full blown period. i used to get mine like every 3 or 4 months and its not something u get used to. the paranoia will go away after a while cuz ull know what ur body will feel like for sure b4 the period. good luck.

You can google period calculators and put in the first day of your last period and it will tell you when to expect your next period. problem solved so you will not waist all those girl things and money. You will have a day to plan on it...

if u get your period, it's not gonna bleed much. just as soon as you see it, put in a pad. try carrying one WITH you, instead of IN your underwear! lol! hope i helped!
