The blood permeated through the gauze.
A soaker hose helps flowers grow by permeating the soil with water.

Does that help?

It's no surprise that you're stumped by a word like "permeate" if you haven't mastered words like "write" and "sentence" yet. Make sure you know how to use simple words correctly and consistently before you expect yourself to grasp more challenging language.

"The tomato sauce permeated her white shirt, making her look like a bloody victim of the lunchtim food fight."
"The rumor permeated the school's gossip chain, and within a few hours everyone knew that Bobby liked Susie."

Ok. Spellings first. write. sentence. The rainwater permeated the limestone creating a huge underground cave where stalactites hung for the ceilng and stalagmites gre all around. That should give you a dramatic picture to draw!
