And honestly, I dont want to for one im 17 two his 20 and three we both have very different ideas of how we want life to be like. So would it be heartless to break up with him if he does ask me to?

Darn it, just when I'm convinced that young people are brain dead, here you are being reasonable and sensible. Getting married at 17 would not be wise, as you already know. I suggest that you bring up marriage casually, perhaps saying some friend is getting married, and she's only 18. And how unwise that is, cuz she is too young. Unless your boyfriend IS brain dead, he'll probably get the point. I have to agree with you that if he were to ask, and you said no, it would end the relationship. Enjoy being young and single. I predict a great future for you.

Well if he hasn't asked you and he is just dropping hints start dropping hints of your own! Say that when you get married you want to be in a financial position to buy the house of your dreams that will hold the 6 children you want! You want to travel the world and have the biggest wedding anyone has ever had! You wont have to drop him he will head for the hills, lol...

First off, you might be reading too much into his "hints". Second, if he wants to know what you think about marriage, he will (hopefully) ask, and then you can tell him you don't think you will be getting married anytime soon. Third, if he asks you to marry him, you will have to be honest and say "yes" if you want to marry him, and "no" if you don't. It's not being heartless, it's common sense.

No, you should tell him how you feel even before he asks you to marry him. You really should end this right away if this is how you feel.
