I'm going to try to answer this question as honestly and forthrightly as I can.

I truly believe there are conservatives and liberals alike who score high on IQ tests. I believe basically they all want the same thing, prosperity and freedom for all. However, I think liberals tend to let their emotions control them more than conservatives.

Suppose we had an island that had a deer population. One year there's a drought, and many deer are starving. The conservative will say let them starve, the herd will do better next year because the weak have died off and there are fewer of them to eat the available food. The liberal will bring them food, they'll multiply and destroy their food sources by over-eating it. If we don't keep feeding them, they'll all die. Eventually that happens. The conservative doesn't look at the starving deer and stop thinking rationally.

I'm going to make my own question on this topic.

Have you conducted your own poll? What documentation do you have for your claim? How can you prove conservatives are so much smarter than liberals? Do you even know the difference between conservatives and liberals? Can you provide a dictionary's definition of 'conservatism' or 'liberalism'? How do you define 'smarter'? Would you include yourself as among those 'smarter' conservatives? Or are you just being stupid? -RKO- 10/01/07

Conservatives are both smarter and dumber than liberals. It's a bell curve thing. Liberals tend to group around average, so that liberal IQs range from 80 to 120. Conservatives are either really smart or really stupid - a double mode, ranging from IQ 60- to IQ 160+.

I disagree with this question, both Conservatives and Liberals use computers, and the thing is it depends how Conservative and how liberal you go
both super conservatives (amish) and super liberals (Canadians) are stupid

Do you have some viable data to back up this claim? Or do you think that saying it makes it so? As for the ones who say "liberalism is a mental disorder".... I'd like to see your data too. Or are you just mouthing Savage savagely?

Remember this, same Quote to Liberals, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubts. Peace

Any statistical comparison of education level with political philosophy will clearly show that the premise of your question is the reverse of reality.

No one group is smarter than the other. However the leadership of the neoconservative party does make poor decisions in respects to the average American. As this is their goal, I would not say they are not smart. I would say their goals do not coincide with those of working class Americans. Just as Democrats social agendas work against the nuclear family.

They aren't. They just aren't smart enough to know how dumb they sound. Here is a hint: 70 percent of Americans are not laughing with you, they are laughing at you.

Let's see. Liberals are more educated and have higher IQs. What measurement are you using?

It's people like you who ask questions like this that are extermely narrow minded and anal. I am a liberal with a B.A. in Sociology and you would make a fascinating case study on the pit falls of being narrow minded.
