i would think it would be usful considering how busy teens are with sports, activities and friends, but they do cost money, espcially if you go over your minutes, so talk to you parents about it! ask for unlimited txting. and good luck!

I think it's more a case of it being unusual for a 13 year old girl NOT to have a phone! In this day and age I think that for safety reasons it's a great idea for all kids that are becoming independant to have mobiles.

yes I do think they should have a cell phone. Almost every kid has a cell phone at least by the 6th grade. They might have one by the 5th grade also.

I would say yes.
It is always nice to be able to text or ring to make sure that they are safe.
It will make the 13 year happy for happy one and hopefully the parent/guardian peace of mind.

Yes for safety purposes at least. It can always be controlled so the bill is not run up too high.

Sure!!! Most of the girls in my middle school already have them. Plus I got mine when i was 12.
