My frined i thought would do the best job but i mean, is there anyway for me to convince him to stay in council?

Your friend has to accept the responsibilities that come with the position. If he chooses not to, then he will be no good for others as well as for himself. This is something that he has to decide. He should weigh the pros and the cons before deciding what is best for himself. Good luck.

I really fail to see the point in making a big deal about it. Officers of the student body have almost no power. It's more of a popularity contest than it is anything else.

I agree however, that it might do your friend some good to accept his responsibilities and "set a good example". It sounds like he needs to grow up and this might be the ticket.

Cheers :-)

The only thing you can do is try to talk him into staying in office, but it really is his decision and you can't force him to do anything.
