Okay, so my boyfriend and I live really far apart. I live in NJ, at college, and he lives in KY at college. We want to meet half way, perhaps in Virginia, but it's finding a good, cheap, hotel that's going to be the problem. Anyone know of any good inns or hotels that are romantic and cheap and CLEAN?
Please, help us!

I wouldn't worry so much about your accommodations -- you can have a romantic weekend no matter where you stay, it's all in how you spend your time together!

That being said, why not head to the beach? The weather is still nice, and you could stroll along the beach, find a good place to eat, etc.

There's a Comfort Inn & Suites at Virginia Beach that has decent rates.

If not, you can check out other places on that site.

Hope that helps...good luck, and have fun!

I too have had plan trips to keep a long distance relationship together...

Try going to hotwire.com and checking out the hotel rates there. You get a good discount. Also, if you're going to book a room, do so a few weeks in advance.

And don't get the wrong idea about "clean" in a hotel room. If you have seen all that nonsense on TV... where there's a guy with a blacklight over a bedsheet going "hey look it's semen stains, ew". That's a load of bull; what you see is just the calcium deposits left in the sheets. They wash the sheets / the germs die / Period.

Also, as for the romance, I don't think that there are many hotels that specialize in "romantic atmosphere", so you might want to bring along some candles and chocolate dip yourself. ;) (Remember, a lot of hotels are temporary homes of families on vacation or traveling businessmen)

Anyway, I hope you find a good hotel (and soon, if you want to save some money). Oh by the way, since you are planning a trip, I would just like to say that it is always good to have a backup plan just in case things don't go your way. You can't go worse than being stranded with nothing left but your sanity.
Good luck~

I think the first thing you need to figure out is what route you need to take in order to get to eachother. You know what towns you are in so you should start with Yahoo! Maps and figure out if you would come from NJ and go down Route 81 or perhaps go across the PA Turnpike.
Again, this depends upon where exactly in each state you are going.
I travel some of these parts alot so feel free to e-mail me nova_queen_28@yahoo.com and I'd be happy to assist you further.

Try the Stonewall Jackson in Staunton Va. it's about midway and a cool town.
