Keep Randolph, get rid of Green and some of the older pitchers- leave it up to Willie- he got them to the NL finals last year. I can almost guarantee next year will be better.
Come on, the miracle Mets will be back, let's all root for the poor ol' Cubbies since the beloved Mets can't this year.

He should stay but some heads definitely need to be knocked around. In the month of September, the Met's went 14-14 giving up an average of 8.35 runs in games they lost. If you think pitching was the problem, you need to take a look at this. Over the last 28 games, the Met's committed 27 errors. In a 6 game span, they made 15 of those errors. They went 1-5 against the 73-89 Washington Nationals who were clearly out of the race and were swept at home. They were also swept by the Phillies at home. Let's give credit where credit is due. The Phillies put pressure on them and they couldn't hold up to it. The right team is in and the right team is out.

It takes more than talent to win in the bigs. Look at Florida and TB. Two teams picked to finish dead last in both of their respective divisions, but they are both in first by good margins. This is because of a mix of great coaching and team chemistry. Everyone in the majors has talent. It's about adding up all those pieces to make one, whole machine. Without chemistry, they're destined to fail, no matter who coaches them. However, a great coach can make a world of difference for chemistry. It's pretty apparent, unless he drastically changes something that he's currently doing, Willie Randolph is not a great coach.

I don't think they should fire him. I would get rid of the older pitchers and also The older players like Delgado, Green, Le Duca. However they should bring back Moises Alou. He can hit.

Randolph is questionable...NY needs more of a Pinella or Lasorda type of manager. But Rick Peterson should get the boot.
