I've never owned a TV. I rarely notice what people look like. I like kind people and am attracted to people who smile a lot, regardless of what kind of teeth they have.
I realize that you are a connoisseur of physical beauty, however, as a discipline, visual beauty alone is not related to attractiveness. A face can be beautiful but not attractive, for example.
Most people think that people who look or behave like their own parents are the most attractive--in the absence of media stereotypes.
Most media darlings have had some plastic surgery, wear a ton of makeup, and use lots of tricks (some of which are very expensive) to look good. Most people can look like that if they spend the time and money to do so; if you want to study pristine physical beauty you will have to look around at people you can see, not at media images of any kind.
At the same time, you can note how different individuals make themselves attractive, regardless of their physical attributes.

Hello ,
What is pretty , beautiful , handsome ?
In our society we get attacked by the images of so-called perfect men and women ... They oose glamour and perfection . I work in the fashion bussiness for 8 years now and even I get struck by these images , although I am very aware that they are fakes .
These images are created to sell clothes , make-up etc...
All of them are treated by computer programs to create a world of perfection ... That is the biggest problem these days .
There have always been beauty standards during history .
Curved Marilyn in the 50's , skinny Twiggie in the 60's till waif looking Kate Moss in the 90's ...
Nowadays our beauty standards have evolved into being unrealistic because what we perceive as an ideal is non-existing . From Beyoncé and Eva Longoria for L'Oréal , Sharon Stone for Dior to so many movie stars , pop stars and other celebrities ... All these people are surrounded by Make-up artists , hairdressers and ...Photoshop. All these pictures have been worked on in order to make people look like anything but themselves .
It is time we review our standards and look at people being people . If we continue perfecting ourselves on the outside and making this more important than working on our soul and mind , this world is going into a wrong direction .
Being pretty is about feeling comfortable in Your own self , THERE IS NO PERFECTION IN THIS WORLD !!!
People are beautiful when they are good human beings and act accordingly .
And a bit of basic grooming helps ... naturally

beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
i think i have a wonky nose, but my boyfriend says it's cute! so it really is like different people are attracted to different things.
i do think that great skin and great features (shape of nose, eyes, lips, chin, etc) adds up to great beauty, but sometimes i see someone with a feature that might look weird on someone else but looks good on that person... it really depends on the person.

I recommend vitamin B12 on-top of a B-complex vitamin. It doesnt work in days but after a couple weeks or so it does wonders!. Its nice because its not as much of a hassle as washing your face with 5 different things 3 times a day, and theyre vitamins so they also help the rest of your body. Also, id recommend eating yogurt and the fresh fruit drinks by "naked" all this with a good facial lotion like burts bee's and i think youll be satisfied! hope this helps.

Symmetry is the best indicator of beauty, and clear skin indicates health and lack of disease. I think that "ideal" aesthetic beauty requires a combination of both......
....think about this: how pretty would Jessica Alba look if she had a lot of acne all over her face? Then again, would someone with ugly facial features look any prettier with clear skin?

I don't think men look at the faces
and I agree - many of those women are absolutely revolting without their pounds of makeup and fake hair!
(I once saw a picture of Cindy Crawford pregnant and with no makeup - I almost barfed!!!!)
but... there's someone for everyone!!

i dont think britney or kate have terrible facial features, well kate does have that gap in her teeth, but she is still pretty. I do agree with your concept, though.
