I'm not sure who is "bigger" but I prefer Shakira. I think that she's got more talent and she is very generous. Furtado... uh yeah, not so much on either front.

Shakira is by far a wayyyyyyyy better performer, musician, poet, and overal great person. To answer your question directly, Shakira has sold more albums then Nelly Furtado + Shakira is very well known throughout the world. She has done 120 concert throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America, including the Middle East. Nelly couldn't even begin to touch any of those regions. Shakira is just a better artist overal + she is the heart.
Nelly is just too dramatic for me and her songs are just boring.

I think that Shakira is better because Nelly's music sounds just like everything else that is out. Shakira's music is nice to listen to, plus its something different from your basic stuff that every artist now is singing about. I would deffenenty prefer Shakira to Nelly.

I would say Nelly Furtado,cos shes my favourite, but theve both been pretty big this year and Shakira is a great artist too, but i say Nelly Furtado...

Well here are the cold, hard facts: Shakira sold out hundreds of huge arenas - all over the world - on her Oral Fixation tour last year. Nelly had a lot of trouble selling out on her tour. So that kind of says a lot.
