I have been on birth control for about 2 years now. my boyfriend and i had sex about 2 weeks ago, and i had only one pack of birth control left so i was trying to make it last, and hadnt taken it in a few days. so i took two before we had sex. i havent taken a pill since, and usually that would cause my period to come, but it hasn't. i heard that if you have been taking birth control for a while, it makes it harder to concieve, but is this true? could i really be pregant? i don't really have any other symptoms?

also: how long does it take for you to start to show when you are pregnant?

You should take birth control everyday, if you've been skipping then it is possible you could be pregnant.
You can still conceive on birth control anyway, it's not 100% safe!

IF you're pregnant, you may get symptoms around the 6 week mark or maybe not at all. Some people don't get any symptoms at all, everyone is different.

Take a test and find out

If you are pregnant then you'll start to show around 14 - 16 weeks depending on your build.

No that's not true. I was on bc for 7yrs and got pregnant two weeks off the pill as well as a friend of mine(we are due a week apart). Yes you can be pregnant, not everyone gets symptoms and some get symptoms only after 8-10wks. Most women do not show with there first pregnancy until 5-6 months.

Wait a couple weeks and take a test. If you are not pregnant start your pills again and make sure to take them exactly as directed or they will not work.

Though being on birth control for a period of time may make conception more difficult, anytime it is not followed regularly as directed sets you up for the possibility of becoming pregnant. Everyone is different when it comes to symptoms, some people are fortunate never to experience morning sickness others will experience it on average at about 4 weeks. Typically you do not begin showing until approximately 3 months along, though with your first pregnancy that may be longer. Home pregnancy tests are very good and should give you an accurate reading at this time. Good Luck!

The pill is not a mornign afterpill. You do now that youre suppose to take one everyday not skip 5 days take two it wont WORK! You may be pregnant. The pill may work in reverse ways it could be harder to concieve once your permanently off but if youre folling around with them it may be easier to get pregnant. I say you may or may not be oregnant. However how youre missing with youre pills you may be messing with youre cycle. Take a test if youre period doesnt come on schedule date.

Oh - you could be pregnant. I would wait another week and try a test or go to the doctor. Good Luck!

you COULD be prego. Wait until your period is due, and if it is late or does not happen, take a home test. If positive, call your doc to confirm with professional test.
