well i would not say that..i mean i am more than happy to have what i do in my life and to have such great experiences. i would not ask for anything more which would be selfish.sometimes agony as in my situation is to let go of someone dearest to me,who has known me since i was 21 (am 23) and someone that i fell in love with.i know that with age comes a great amount of responsibility and in this case letting go of this person is for the best since we had our good and bad times yet those are the times that i will remember in the end.it is sort of like the song "Little Wonders" sung by Rob Thomas (listen you it-youtube it- and you will see what i mean). I guess that we at some point have to appreciate all the things we have now in the present, preserve the past and our most cherished moments or memories and then we will not crave anything.if you have agony and loss and crave then you will never be happpy. i am trying to be strong and happy for the person who will sort of walk out of my life even though i feel like i am about to cry yet know that they too will be happy for me.the person is graduating and moving on and not forgetting me and same here-am about to graduate in 1 year from this fall.

I've thought of that sometime, but it is impossible to measure the quantity. anyway one thing that i do know is that the agony can be a lot larger than the standard form of being normal.
I also realise that when craving and loss affected in you it takes all your hope away, for somehow the victim of these two can even hallucinated of the empty space in the world beyond us.

No can't say I have noticed that.....
Mine is tied up with disappointment...
What are you craving and what have you lost? Surely losing your craving is not an agony but a blessing??

Maybe, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to think that Yahoo is imposing its political views on users. Let's talk ECON 101. Conservatives like Econ 101, right? Yahoo is a business. They want to make money. As such, it's a good idea to have as many users and as many people viewing the site as possible. We, the users, are not Yahoo customers. The customers are the advertisers. We're the product. The more users, the more advertiser money comes in. Lively debate will bring more users to the table. No sense in Yahoo wanting to discourage that. It goes against their self-interest. Given the fact the company has survived many years, I'm pretty sure they're not in the habit of doing that. What makes sense for them is to shoot down users who put off other users unecessarily: Rudeness, racism, trolling, etc... They'll let you post any opinion you want in my experience. But there are ways of saying things which will get you in more trouble than others.

I would be happy with the word 'desire' instead of 'craving' which is more in tune with 'addiction' - I hope you are not addicted to drugs or something. In that case it will become a question of morals.
Loss is something beyond your control - as far as loved ones are concerned. If you have lost some belonging due to carelessness then again it is a question of morals (you should have been careful).
In Indian philosophy to cut desire is the first step to free oneself from this endless cycle of births and deaths.
But that comes about only with mental maturity. You will have to wait for it to dawn upon you. Until then.......all the best.

Hi Rena, this is why Mystics of all Faiths work to become an observer & remove world hooks. Remember the line in the song "Bobby McGee", "Freedom just another word for nothing left to lose". Even Christ said "Where your heart is , there lies your treasure". The things of this world that we crave, that we put first in our lives are the idols we worship.

All my agony is caused by craving and loss, you can avoid all of these emotions by being selfless. Something I have failed at as of late.

Hi Rena, your words are very true indeed.I travel the roads cloaked in agony, overwhelmed by my cravings and loss.We are all heavily burdened with these emotions. The way i see it. we are the balance of the two turmoils raging inside. The good and evil. The same as things we want,And things we would rather leave behind.
