Not trying to be a modest parent, but our infant is barely 3 months old, yet it seems she's trying to crawl as well as a few other things. Before she will start crying due to being hungry, dirty diaper or just wanting attention, she'll start this baby talk...just simple sounds really but she looks us in the eye. If we dont get the point within a few minutes of this, she'll reach if she wants attention, kick her legs if she has a dirty diaper or make vocal noises while munching on her hand if she's hungry. I for sure know when she wants attention because she'll cry, then when i go in there(she seems to be a daddy's girl)...she'll just smile really big and try to tell me what she wants. She started lifting her head on her own just a couple weeks after birth, and started this 'baby talk' at like 6 weeks. The doc says her muscle tone is very good for her age as well. As for her parents, id like to think im quite a curious person, and the mom is very alert. Is she advanced for her age?

it is normal - but don't be disappointed, be so proud, that you recognise this and can enjoy your baby :-)

- mind you, I'm sure so many people's babies *don't* do this - especially if they don't take the care and attention that you clearly do with your daughter.

Parenthood is great, huh?!! Well done to you and your daughter and the mummy! :-)

Very normal. They babble from around 6 weeks, first just "vowel" sounds, then later consonents.

They also do something some peopel call "swimming" which is a precursor to crawling...they move arms and legs but dont move fowards.... which sounds like what your baby is doing.

It sounds like she is right on track, actually. She seems to be developing perfectly. Sounds like you're doing a great job!

sounds pretty normal, and sounds like you are wonderful parents that know how to "read" your child. each child develops certain traits on how to get your attention.

It's pretty normal, actually. You're just very in sync with her, and you've learned her signals.
