It makes no sense to me. Republicans (not all) during these Bush years are criminals. The war in Iraq was a criminal act by Bush and his clique (a war crime that will take so many years to investigate it will no longer matter when the label comes down), habouring terrorists (Cubans in Florida bombing inside Cuba - attempting to kill Castro) Trained in America by the CIA (criminal)
Getting bin Laden out of the country (criminal)

Look at your economy. It suddenly really sucks. The rich are still getting richer and the middle class has stalled. Billons has been lost to arms manufacturers because of the war. Billions is being lost to wall street investers because of the sub-prime fiasco. Manufacturers are moving out of country. Bush has been allowed to increase the dept limit five times.

With out increases in the debt limit the country would run out of money. Can the debt limit be extended whenever the president wants?
This is precisely the problems with his other business failings.

Your dollar is now at par with Canada and in a number of border towns I hear this is not being honoured.
The Euro is up to 144 or higher.
What about the other currencies.

From the views expressed, I for one, am glad we don't live in a democracy.
Frankly, I don't know how any American, especially those calling themselves conservative, could support this lawless administration, this kleptocracy. While there are many things this country can be proud of, support for this rogue and criminal administration, or the sorry state of our infrastructure, inner cities, and exploding incarceration rates and bankruptcies are not among them. Off the agenda in this time of renewed nationalism (Nazianism) is cutting the bloated military, which is better than 5 times what the military itself says it needs to actually defend the US, instead of insisting that taxes be raised to pay for the social services our money should be going for. The US, for starters, should begin by apologizing to the world, especailly the 'third world', for our decades of subversion, and begin working seriously on becoming a good neighbor instead of the biggest bully on the block. Americans apparently cannot see what is going on before their eyes: the evisceration of our apparently not-so-beloved Constitution and Bill of Rights, the denuding of our country of industry and secure, well-paying jobs with pensions, as the capitalist monster, its dollar cheapening by the day, feeds on the domestic population itself.
It breaks my heart to see what has become of this country of my birth.
But for the want of a few good men.

I have to agree with you that the economy sucks for people who are not reaping benefits in some way from the war. Fuel prices are up, grain prices are also up. My wages will not be increasing at the rate in which all of the prices are so yes, to me and my family economy sucks. There are $$billions of debt that we now owe, our dollar is worth less than Canada's now and as many of the others brought up, Reaganomics has never worked. It didn't work the first time 80's and it certainly is not working now for the majority of citizens in the United States. The middle class has indeed stalled and our economics has relied mostly on the middle class to keep the economy fluid. As for the Republicans being criminals... I think that if a country is lied to in order to gain an advantage to begin a war that is most beneficial to the person who declared it then yes they are criminals. There are many things that the Republican legislators have done that people and courts of law could rule as criminal. I hope that Bush and his cronies will have to pay something back to the citizens they have harmed. There is no way to actually re-pay families for the deaths of their loved ones. The only thing I can think of that would have any effect is to take all of his money, businesses, homes, anything of value that he has won at the expense of others. That would destitute him as he has helped to create destitution for others in this world. I don't think that the war in the Middle East will end for decades. How much is the United States willing to go into debt?

This is certainly the first time I have hear Cuban exiles referred to as terrorists. For a start they have failed miserably to have a coordinated campaign of terror on the Cuban people. (They would have to get up pretty early in the morning to beat Castro in any case.)
The basic difference between Democrats and Republicans, or more generally liberals and conservative, is the premises they use to make their decisions from. People generally do not change their premises, even over a lifetime.
For example, you seem to think Castro is the legitimate leader of Cuba, and should be immune to assassination attempts on the part of the US government. I think that he is one of the more evil pieces of work in this hemisphere. If we ignore the bit about his oppressing and starving his own people, we still have the fact that given half a chance he would have started World War III by lobing a soviet made nuke at the US.
As long as you think Castro is a good guy, you will see actions against him as a bad thing. As long as I think he is evil I will think actions against him haven't happened a moment too soon.
The US believes, often to it's detriment, in a free market system. Banks where foolish, and greedy enough to offer sub-prime loans. This has nothing to do with the President. It would not matter who was president. No US president has the power to tell a bank who they can do business with.
Despite this the DOW jones hit a record high today. How is that sucky?

Nice way to save your butt, that little "not all" disclaimer. There are some (*refrains from pointing fingers*) who would probably remove that addendum and mean it.
Our economy sucks? I was under the impression that the sector of the economy that sucks at the moment was that which affects those who made poor choices about it. (You speak about it like someone who isn't in the country -- where are you?) At any rate, how is that the fault of the Republicans? I'll only believe you if you can provide me with solid evidence that it's their fault; "the tax cuts only helped the rich" is emotional propaganda, which I never accept as evidence.

It's not hard since ordinary people get better rates on mortgages and stuff with the sub prime 'fiasco' and no, we didnt train those Cubans it was JFK but they got pwned anyway. And why not try things from his view for once? Its not that easy to be President. And Hillary(the traitor) voted for Bush to go ahead and invade Iraq.

Wow, the economy sucks? I wasn't aware of this. You have proof to back that statement up? Congress voted for Bush to invade Iraq by your so-called cherished Democrats like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. What do you say of them? Bush increased the debt 3 times? Wow, All these years I thought Congress was responsible for the spending.
I have a question for you. Did your middle school call school off early today?

Thank the two-party system. Unless one of the big two parties just completely implodes (and the Republicans, bad as they're doing now, are no more on the verge of that than the Democrats were a few years ago), there's no where else to throw your support except the opposing party. With the Democrats being what they are, many have no choice but to stick with the Republicans.

Not all repubs are criminals but I sure hope those that call themselves repubs in Bush's admin get their a s s E s handed to them. As for the economy it looks good right now but you are right. The rich are the only ones benefiting the most. There is this delusional thought that if the rich get richer they spend more and it "trickles" down to the poor. Sad fact is the rich turn around and reinvest that money and it never does trickle down. The trickle down theory was a good stroke job by Reagan to get everybody to want his tax cuts which made the rich richer and the poor got trickled on alright. It was a steady stream of yellow.

So you are saying it would have been better to leave the torture houses? To leave people under Saddam? To leave people to get their feet beaten, to let woman get used and thrown away by Saddam's sons, to let woman not vote to have no rights? What kind of person are you?
To leave Bin Laden alone after he killed so many people? I guess it would be better to back down and to let him attack people again? Just cower in a corner.
Republicans are Pro Life and Christian - like myself. I am married to a Iraqi veteran and I guarantee you do not get the full story of what really goes on over there.
Our economy does NOT suck, you should read the news and all news. Not just the one sided.
No President is perfect but I would rather have a republican and have a fighting chance in America.

WOW! Have you got some anger or what?? There are no war criminals, or non war criminals. The Dems. would have seen to their indictment or the President's impeachment if your accusations were true. But the proof is in the pudding.
I AM PROUD TO BE A REPUBLICAN AND AM GLAD THAT THE SURGE IS WORKING !
As for wall street, have you looked lately??? It's roaring!
As for manufacturers, they would not be moving out but for the Dem. lead unions that made wages too high.
And, what is the "dept"??
