I'm getting tired of my usual speech about not using castor oil - so many people don't listen or don't care and are so focused on putting themselves into labor that the truth doesn't matter.

My only wish is that people like you would at least tell your doctor that you're trying it because most of you don't think it's necessary to tell your doctor you're trying to induce labor by taking a medication that is not intended for labor induction, funnily enough!
And when they tell you not to do it, I hope you listen.

There are no positive stories!!! Castor oil is an old wives' tale. Flush the rest of it down the toilet.

If you want to poop now, try miralax. It's the best.

If you want to induce labor, have sex with hubby (use a condom so you don't introduce extra bacteria into the birth canal). Have him play with your breasts as though he were nursing or trying to get some milk out. These are proven methods of starting labor...if your body is truly ready.

Baby will get here, I promise. You won't be the only woman on the planet to be pregnant FOREVER!!

Hi there,
I had a positive outcome with my first two children,
I took the castor oil straight with no orange juice followed by lots of water and within 6-7 hours I was having contractions.
I went to hospital and they induced me and I had my first baby in 7 hours.
same with the second baby, only she only took two hours to come out.
Mind you I was 40 weeks with both my girls and now Im 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and Im having mild contractions so I took the castoe oil just now but this time with orange juice. I'll let you know how I went.
If your not comfortable in taking it then dont.

Actually caster oil is not recommended because generally it just makes you miserable and doesn't help in the end. Try primrose oil instead.
