'Frontrunner.' Forerunner would be predecessor or ancestor or something (Andrew Jackson would be an example of a forerunner of the modern presidential candidate).

I think it's become pretty obvious, at least to the media, that Clinton is well out in front at the moment.

Right now its Giuliani for the GOP and Clinton for the left. Don't think Baracka Osama can even come close to Clinton for the nomination.

Clinton just can't win the final election. Hate to be like that, but reality will set in and she just won't be able to get in.

Fred Thompson could pass Giuliani and win the whole thing, but he may not have the staying power.

Giuliani wins...
