The Cowboys traditionally have ALWAYS worn white at home, the Eagles started wearing white at home when they first introduced the dark dark green unis. But league-wide? Its possible they want the least amount of heat being absorbed by the home team on a sunny day. I know it sounds stupid but if I'm playing in San Diego, ARIZONA, or Miami, I wanna wear white.

The Cowboys always wear their white "away" jerseys at home. The only time they wear their blue is when they are on the road and the opposing team chooses to wear their white. The Cowboys wore their "home" jerseys against Miami a couple of week ago. The Redskins and Eagles usually force them to wear the blu jerseys when they play in Washington and Philly.

It's a decision left entirely up to the teams at the start of the season which jersey is their home jersey. White or color
the Fish, for instance, wears their whites at home all the time...because of the heat...just like Buffalo wears their color jerseys at home...to absorb heat in the cold weather
Then of course, the visiting team has to base their uniform on what the home team wears at home

So many? The Cowboys have done this for years. Lately I've seen Washington, Philadelphia, and Miami on ocassion. That's about it though.

my understanding is the home team gets to dictate if they want their light or dark uniforms. The away team then needs to wear the opposite so the teams contrast. Can you imagine dark blue/silver against dark blue/white???
